Chenxi Lin's Homepage

Short Biography:

I am an associate researcher at Microsoft Research Asia. I got my Master degree in the APEX Lab of the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in March 2005. Before pursuing my Master study, I had taken three years' undergraduate course in School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In May 2000, I transferred to the Dept of Computer Science and Engineering, and got my B.S. degree in July 2002.

I was one of the members of the SJTU's team competing in the 2000 world final of the 24th ACM/ICPC. Our team won the 7th place that year. In 2002, at the 26th ACM/ICPC, SJTU's team named Meteors won the World Champion! I enjoyed the excitement as a most successful contestant. You could share my photos here. I was an assistant coach of Spirit, a SJTU's team which won the World Champion again at the 29th ACM/ICPC in 2005!

Research Interests:

My current research interests include Structural Learning, Web Search and Mining, Information Retrieval theory and application. When I was a master student, my research topics focused on the Semantic Web and Ontology based Knowledge Management. My master dissertation is Integrating Web Service into Semantic Portal.
