Web Scale Expert Search (May. 2007--May. 2008): This project is sponsored by Microsoft Research Asia. Specifically, it focuses on the problems of web scale expert locating, indexing and efficient searching.
Expert Search at Enterprise Track of TREC 2007 (Apr. 2007--Nov. 2007): We continuously work on the problem of Expert Search which is a task of Enterprise Track of TREC 2007. The task is quite different from those in previous two years since new data is adopted and no predefined list of experts is provided with the corpus. (Second Place)
Document Search at Enterprise Track of TREC 2007 (Apr. 2007--Nov. 2007): Document Search at Enteprise Track is grounded in a ‘missing overview page’ scenario, thus aimed to find "key pages" related to certain topics. (Fifth Place)
Expert Search at Enterprise Track of TREC 2006 (May. 2006--Nov. 2006): Expert Search is to find experts on certain topics. Given an enterprise corpus and a list of experts, when a query is inputted, a result consisting of a ranked list of experts is expected. (First Place)
Mining and Search in Chinese BBS/Blog Spaces (Oct. 2005--Dec. 2006): This project is sponsored by Google. It aims to explore the clustering/classification of the articles in BBS space and personalized search in Blog space.
